We are so proud of this Gin, because quite frankly, it is delicious. With all the bold characters of our Premium Dry Gin, plus the dark vanilla flavours of French Oak & premium Shiraz. We surely couldn't fit any more flavour in if we distilled it (oh that's right, we already have).
Our barrels had a complicated past, which makes this gin so multifaceted. Before they moved in to Emerald Island Distillery, our barrels (now all lovingly christened) had been worked hard at Brokenwood Winery. After being used for the production of Premium Brokenwood Shiraz, we brought them back to pasture at Emerald Island Distillery for an elegant retirement. With their salty view of The Emerald Island, we lovingly rock our barrels daily, to ensure they are well hydrated and relaxed, ensuring the smooth release of all their pent up flavour.
Enjoy our Shiraz Barrel Gin as you would a fine brandy, really get your nose in there. Pour over the rocks and savour. Or mix it up it up, with Fever-Tree's Spiced Orange Ginger Ale. Or perhaps try a Dry Margitini – skip the Vermouth and add a spray of Tequila…garnish with a lemon myrtle leaf (instead of an olive).
